Insurance & Payment
Insurance and payment options at A Smile By Design
Questions about cost shouldn't keep you from care. We'll help you understand your benefits and your options before treatment starts.
If you have dental insurance
We work with most major dental insurance plans. Every plan is different, so the best first step is a quick call. Tell us the name of your insurance company and your plan, and we'll check your benefits for you.
We'll handle the insurance paperwork and help you make the most of your benefits.
Accepted and in-network are not always the same. In-network means the office has a contract with your plan. When you call, ask us how your specific plan works at our office.
What to expect before treatment
- Call us with your plan. We check your benefits.
- Get your exam. Dr. Vogler explains what he finds and your options in plain language.
- Review your estimate. When we can, we'll give you a clear estimate up front, before treatment starts.
- Decide what's next. Tammy, our financial advisor, can help you build a plan that fits your budget.
An estimate is our best understanding of your benefits, not a promise of what your insurance company will pay. Your insurer makes the final decision on coverage.
If you don't have dental insurance
You're welcome here. Call us and we'll explain your options and what to expect before any treatment starts. CareCredit financing can help some patients spread out the cost.
Paying for your care
CareCredit financing is available with approved credit. CareCredit is a health care credit card that may let you pay for treatment over time. Terms depend on the plan you choose and your approval.

Common questions about cost
Do you take my dental insurance?
We work with most major dental insurance plans. Call (585) 335-2120 with the name of your insurance company and plan, and we'll check for you.
Is accepting my plan the same as being in-network?
Not always. Being in-network means the office has a contract with your plan. Working with a plan can mean different things from office to office, so ask us how your specific plan works here.
Will you handle the insurance paperwork?
Yes. We'll handle the insurance paperwork and help you make the most of your benefits.
Is my estimate a guarantee of what I'll pay?
No. An estimate is our best understanding of your benefits before treatment. Your insurance company makes the final decision on what it pays, so your final cost can be different.
What if I don't have dental insurance?
You're still welcome here. Call us and we'll explain your options and what to expect before any treatment starts. CareCredit financing may also help.
Is financing available?
Yes. CareCredit financing is available with approved credit. Terms depend on the plan you choose and your approval.
I'm in pain but worried about cost. Should I still call?
Yes. Call (585) 335-2120 right away. Pain relief shouldn't have to wait for paperwork, and we'll talk through cost with you.
